 Like many nature reserve/national parks, individual safety should be your top priority in the Everglades. This isn't a shallow amusement park. The wildlife here is genuine, the teeth are natural, and they do bite!  As the 3rd most extensive national park in America, the 1.6 million square miles of the Everglades National Park are bristling with natural appeal. Its marshland is as familiar a sight as the airboats and alligators used to promote the area. The community of the park is what draws numerous visitors here. Although there are many waterways, swimming isn't an option since of the hostile wildlife who live there; however, canoeing is one method of taking pleasure in the water from the relative security of a vessel.
